1. Data Collection & Processing

PistePilot operates on a principle of data minimization. We do not maintain our own servers to store your personal ski logs, location history, or health data.

• Location Data: Your GPS data (coordinates, altitude, speed) is processed in real-time on your device's processor to calculate metrics like "Vertical Descent" and "Max Speed". This raw data is stored locally in the app's document container.
• Identifier (UUID): The app generates a random, anonymous identifier locally to manage app preferences. This is not linked to your identity.

2. Apple Services & StoreKit

We rely on Apple's secure ecosystem for payments and subscriptions.

• Subscriptions (StoreKit): All payments are processed directly by Apple via StoreKit. We do not have access to your credit card information, billing address, or real name. We only receive a crytographically signed receipt token to verify "Pro" status.
• Subscription Management: Since Apple handles the transaction, all cancellations and refund requests must be processed through your Apple ID settings.

3. HealthKit Integration

PistePilot is fully integrated with Apple Health to close your Activity Rings.

• Health Actions: With your explicit permission, we write "Downhill Snow Sports" workout sessions to HealthKit. This includes calories burned (calculated by Apple's algorithms based on our input) and duration.
• Read Access: We do not read or analyze your existing health records or medical ID.
• Data Security: HealthKit data is encrypted on your device and in iCloud (if enabled). PistePilot cannot export this data without your action.

4. Cloud Sync & Backups

We do not operate a proprietary cloud service.

• iCloud Backup: If you use iCloud Backup for your iOS device, your PistePilot data is encrypted and backed up to Apple's servers alongside your other app data. This is managed entirely by Apple.
• No Middleman: Your data does not pass through any third-party analytics server or marketing trackers.

5. User Rights (GDPR/CCPA)

Since we do not store your data on our servers, you have full control directly on your device:

• Right to Access: All your data is visible in the "History" tab.
• Right to Deletion: You can delete specific days or reset the entire app database via Settings. Once deleted locally, it is permanently removed.
• Right to Export: You can export your sessions as GPX files to share or move to another platform.

6. App Tracking Transparency

PistePilot does not track you across other apps or websites. Therefore, we do not require the "Allow Tracking" prompt, as we do not use your data for advertising purposes.
